In a few words

At Eveil Montessori Geneva School, every child is welcomed as a unique individual, with their own strengths, rhythm, and potential. Founded in 2010 by Véronica Rivillo, our school offres a trilingual environment in French, English and Spanish. Recognised by the Swiss Montessori Association, for the quality of its Montessori educational approach, the school supports children from 2 years 8 months to 6 years old in a caring, secure, and stimulating environment. Through the Montessori method, children discover the learning objetives of the French-speaking Swiss Curriculum (Plan d’Études Romand-PER) in a concrete, active, and natural way. Our carefully prepared environment encourages independence, concentration, and the joy of learning through practical life activities, sensory exploration, mathematics, language, and geography. We place particular importance on building a trusting relationship with families, which is essential for the child’s well-being and personal development. Regular communication allows us to closely follow each child’s progress and support them throughout  every stage of their development.

Our school is a member of the Association Montessori (Switzerland) and fulfills the fundamental criteria for using the Montessori name in French-speaking Switzerland.
Our class
Large bay windows fill the classroom with natural light, and a spacious layout encourages the children to move freely. There is an art area, a music area, and a reading corner. The children have direct access to a private garden, equipped with a motor skills area, play equipment and a vegetable patch.

We use Montessori-certified materials and all our Montessori furniture is Gonzagareddi quality.

The anglophone teacher provides specific teaching materials in English. The classroom atmosphere is bilingual English-French, with children immersed in both languages. Children are offered a nutritious, balanced snack. The youngest children are also offered a moment of rest (siesta) at school.
Our pedagogical team
The director of the school is supported by an experienced, highly capable, AMI-trained team. The Montessori pedagogical team aims for a quality education that first and foremost promotes the child's well-being during his or her first school experience. The fundamental needs of each stage of development are nurtured.

The director puts the wealth of her many years of experience at the service of the children, through her presence in class. English and French are taught throughout the day by certified native Montessori educators.
Our workshops
Weekly music classes are integrated in the program throughout the school year. Additional rhythmic exercises and motor skills classes benefit your child’s movement and body awareness. The children discover the different stages of planting and cultivation through seasonal gardening workshops. Farm visits are planned throughout the school year.

Regular outdoor walks help to forge links with nature and the environment. Library outings are planned on a regular basis. Thematic workshops are also held throughout the school year to broaden children's horizons and develop their curiosity.

"Education cannot be effective if it does not help the child to open himself to life."
